NDC announces sectoral spokespersons for 2024 manifesto

Sectoral spokespersons for the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s 2024 manifesto have been announced.

Shortly after the party’s manifesto introduction on Saturday, August 24, at the University of Education, Winneba, the announcement was made.

The Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo, the former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs Mona Helen Quartey, and Dr. Johnson Asiama are among the economics spokespeople.

On the education and health teams, respectively, were Juaboso MP Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Deputy Ranking Member of Parliament’s Education Committee, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak.

It is time for Ghanaians to show the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government the exit from governance for mismanaging the nation’s economy, according to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, who made this request during the manifesto unveiling.

In addition, if he wins the next general elections in December, he pledged to eliminate what he called “draconian taxes” within the first 100 days of becoming government.

Within the first 100 days of his taking office in January 2025, several taxes, including as the contentious E-levy, COVID levy, 10% bet wins tax, and emissions levy, are scheduled to be eliminated.

Below is the full list of appointed spokespersons.
