Nations FC have completed the signing of former Basake Holy Stars defender Prince Amponsah on a free transfer, with the 23-year-old centre-back joining the club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Amponsah arrives at Nations FC after spending the 2025/26 season with Basake Holy Stars on loan from Medeama SC, where he gained valuable experience in the Ghana Premier League.

The defender’s move comes after the close of the transfer window, with Nations FC confirming the acquisition as they continue preparations for a demanding campaign.

Nations FC suffered relegation from the Ghana Premier League last season but secured a major consolation by winning the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup.

Their FA Cup triumph earned them qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup, meaning the club will compete in the Division One League while simultaneously representing Ghana on the continental stage.

Nations FC officially announced Amponsah’s arrival, expressing confidence in the defensive qualities and experience he brings to the squad.
