The Bawumia campaign team’s deputy campaign chair, Nana Akomea, has given the media the assurance that they will soon have several meetings with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer.
On Monday, July 8, he made this statement in response to a question on TV3’s New Central.
This follows the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer’s substantial media interaction in Accra on Sunday, July 7.
In preparation of the general elections, Mr. Mahama used the occasion to lay forth his proposed policies.
After the meeting, some people demanded that Dr. Bawumia meet with the media as well.
For example, Kobby Mensah, a lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, stated on Facebook that “You too come and speak to the media and the nation and field questions.”
“Very soon you will have an encounter or series of media encounters with Bawumia, you are going to get tired of it,” Nana Akomea remarked, however.
