Medeama Cruise Past Young Apostles to Firmly Command Title Race

Medeama Sporting Club reinforced their championship credentials in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with a resounding 3–0 victory over Young Apostles at the TnA Stadium, tightening their grip on top spot.

The Mauve and Yellow were in imperious form, delivering a composed and authoritative display that stretched their lead at the summit to at least four points. Focused on keeping their title charge firmly on track, Medeama dictated the tempo from the first whistle, asserting dominance through a slick and commanding first-half performance.

Their ascendancy was rewarded in the 22nd minute when Fuzy Taylor opened the scoring with a calm finish, capping a sustained spell of pressure. Medeama doubled their advantage 12 minutes later as Kamaradini Mamudu struck in the 34th minute, underlining a first-half showing that left Young Apostles on the back foot.

The visitors emerged with renewed intent after the interval but were largely contained by a disciplined Medeama side that controlled possession with assurance and conceded few clear openings. Any lingering resistance was extinguished late on when substitute Prince Owusu found the net in the 85th minute to wrap up a comprehensive win.

The victory sees Medeama solidify their position at the top of the standings with a four-point cushion in the title race. Young Apostles, meanwhile, remain 14th on 21 points, as their away-day struggles continue.
