Swedru All Blacks returned to winning ways with a commanding 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars in their Matchday 6 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
The hosts made their intentions clear from the onset and broke the deadlock as early as the 6th minute when Benjamin Adjei found the back of the net with a composed finish after a swift attacking move. Basake Holy Stars struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, with Swedru All Blacks maintaining control of possession and creating several chances.
After the break, the home side doubled their advantage in the 49th minute through Hafiz Alhassan, who pounced on a loose ball inside the box to slot home past goalkeeper Dubi Tayi Kassi.
Basake Holy Stars showed improved urgency in the latter stages, pushing forward in search of a comeback, but their efforts were dealt a major blow when their goalkeeper Dubi Tayi Kassi was shown a straight red card in the 84th minute for a professional foul.

Despite their late pressure, Basake Holy Stars couldn’t find a way through the resilient Swedru defense, as the home side secured all three points.
The defeat means Basake Holy Stars will look to bounce back in their next fixture against Kpando Heart of Lions, while Swedru All Blacks will be buoyed by their solid performance and clean sheet.
