Basake Holy Stars held Aduana FC to a goalless draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa on Matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League, as both sides failed to capitalise on their chances in a tightly contested encounter.
Holy Stars, determined to secure an important point away from home, displayed composure and tactical discipline throughout. They created a handful of opportunities and tested the hosts on several occasions, but Aduana’s organised backline and alert goalkeeper proved difficult to breach.
Aduana FC, intent on sustaining their push at the top end of the table, dominated stretches of possession and dictated much of the tempo. They registered multiple attempts that forced the visitors into defensive action, yet their lack of clinical finishing prevented them from taking the lead.
Both sides maintained compact shapes, making space in the final third scarce and limiting clear-cut chances. The intensity rose in the closing stages as Aduana pressed for a late winner, but Holy Stars stood firm, shutting down channels and defending with conviction to secure a valuable point on the road.
The result moves Aduana FC to 2nd place with 24 points, while Basake Holy Stars sit 15th with 13 points as they continue their quest for consistency in the league.
