A communique released by the Authorities of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, indicates its readiness to embark on mass burial.
The mass burial will be for all unknown, unacclaimed and unidentified bodies in its mortuary within the next two weeks.
In a statement sighted by Ekuzoanews on Wednesday indicate the move was to decongest its morgue which was currently full beyond it carrying capacity.
“These bodies have been in the morgue for varying periods ranging from one to three years, and this has contributed to the exhaustion of the morgue’s capacity,” was added in the statement.
Authorities of the hospital has therefore urged families who have the bodies of their relatives in their mortuary to go for them.
