The Cape Coast North Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justice Agyemang, has sustained cutlass wounds on his head after being assaulted at the ongoing limited voter registration.

Reports indicate Mr. Agyemang was attacked with a cutlass by one Eric Sampson, alias Bullet, alleged to be the bodyguard of the Cape Coast North Member of Parliament, Samuel Kwamena Mintah.

He was rushed to the hospital to get his wound dressed amid stains of blood in his shirt.

Reports indicate some persons who were being registered at the centre where the mayhem occurred were being prevented as they were suspected to have been bused from elsewhere to the venue.

This brought commotion at the place where the MP allegedly pulled a cutlass which was subsequently used by his bodyguard to injure the NPP man.

Meanwhile, a bodyguard to the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Horace Ekow Ewusi, fired gunshots at a registration centre Thursday, May 09, 2024 when certain persons believed to have been bused to the venue from Moree, a town in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese district, were prevented from registering.
