John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), says he feels vindicated in the Airbus scandal.
This comes after the Special Prosecutor ruled that the former President had committed no wrongdoing.
Mr Mahama stated that, nearly eight years after leaving office, no allegation of corruption has been proven against him.
“I have been out of office for more than seven years, seven months. No allegation of wrong doing has been proven against me including the baseless, airbus brouhaha that this government attempted to clothe me with.
“Once again today, I say it is a pleasant feeling to stand vindicated,” Mr Mahama said.
He went on to say that anytime the NDC has been accused of corruption, its members have always offered themselves up for examination.
During a public lecture held to mark the tenth anniversary of Ing. Paul Victor Obeng’s passing, John Mahama compared the CHRAJ probes to those that the late politician had to deal with.
