Interior Ministry Opens Recruitment for Security Agencies

The Ministry of the Interior has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise for Ghana’s internal security agencies, beginning 15th November to 15th December 2025.

The recruitment covers the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Ghana Immigration Service. The initiative forms part of the Ministry’s effort to strengthen Ghana’s internal security structure, enhance public safety, and improve service delivery across the various agencies.

In a public notice issued by the Ministry, qualified, disciplined, and patriotic Ghanaian citizens have been encouraged to apply and serve the nation with integrity and professionalism.

The Ministry also cautioned the public against dealing with middlemen or individuals who may claim to influence the recruitment process for a fee. It emphasized that no payments are required at any stage of the exercise and warned that applicants submitting false information or forged documents would face disqualification and possible prosecution.

“Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for screening, aptitude tests, and background verification,” the notice stated.

Details of the specific vacancies, eligibility criteria, and mode of application are expected to be communicated in due course through official government channels.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent, merit-based recruitment process aimed at attracting the best candidates to serve Ghana’s security institutions.
