Holy Stars’ Resurgence Rooted in Hard Work and Coach Johnson Smith’s Expertise-Jacob Boazee

Basake Holy Stars defender, Jacob Boazee, has shed light on the club’s impressive rise in form, crediting relentless hard work and the influential presence of experienced trainer, Johnson Smith as the driving forces behind their resurgence.

“Our secret is hard work and the inclusion of experienced coach Johnson Smith,” Boazee revealed, offering insight into the philosophy fueling the team’s drive. According to the former Bofoakwa Tano defender, Holy Stars’ growing consistency and competitive edge are the result of discipline, dedication, and clear technical direction rather than mere coincidence.

Speaking ahead of the Western derby against FC Samartex 1996, the 24-year old explained that success has been built on intense and purposeful training sessions. At the centre of this transformation is Coach Johnson Smith, whose wealth of experience has introduced renewed structure, belief, and tactical clarity within the squad.

Boazee highlighted the coach’s strong man-management skills and emphasis on professionalism. “His experience shows in how he manages players, prepares us mentally, and demands professionalism at all times,” he said. “Everyone understands their role, and that has made us stronger as a unit.”

While hard work remains the foundation of Holy Stars’ progress, Boazee believes the guidance of a seasoned tactician has provided the direction needed to translate effort into results. Improved organization on the pitch and renewed hunger off it have seen the team steadily progress.
