Ghana Premier League top scorer Samuel Attah Kumi has completed a move to Iraqi Premier League club Al-Kahrabaa ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 27-year-old joins the Iraqi outfit after parting ways with former Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars following the expiration of his contract.

Attah Kumi enjoyed a memorable 2025/26 campaign, finishing as the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer with 19 goals. His prolific displays were instrumental in Bibiani Gold Stars’ historic league title-winning season.

The experienced striker boasts an impressive résumé, having previously featured for Phar Rangers, Slovenian clubs NK Radomlje and NK Kranj, as well as Karela United in the Ghana Premier League.

Across his spells with Karela United and Bibiani Gold Stars, Attah Kumi recorded 41 goals and five assists in 139 appearances, highlighting his consistency in front of goal.

His outstanding performances in the Ghanaian top flight attracted interest from several clubs, but Al-Kahrabaa moved swiftly to secure his signature as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.

The move presents Attah Kumi with a fresh challenge and another opportunity to showcase his goalscoring qualities outside Ghana, having previously played in Slovenia.

Al-Kahrabaa will be hoping the Ghanaian forward can replicate the form that saw him clinch the Ghana Premier League Golden Boot and help the club achieve its ambitions in the 2026/27 Iraqi Premier League season.
