Kenyan Premier League giants, Gor Mahia FC have confirmed the appointment of Ghanaian coach Bismark Kobi-Mensah as the club’s new assistant coach.
He joins the technical bench of the K’Ogalo led by fellow Ghanaian compatriot Charles Kwabla Akonnor, as the club embarks on a rebuilding process aimed at restoring its dominance in the FKF Premier League and making a stronger impression in African football.
The former FC Samartex 1996 manager’s arrival is part of a wider strategy to revamp the club’s coaching setup with experienced and tactically sound professionals.

The former Black Galaxies assistant coach has earned a strong reputation in Ghana, having managed clubs such as Nzema Kotoko, Karela United, Accra Great Olympics and Bechem United—playing a key role in boosting their performance. He is recognized for his calm demeanor on the sidelines and his keen focus on developing young players.
The 41-year-old’s coaching philosophy emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and attacking football—an approach that aligns perfectly with Gor Mahia’s ambitions.
In addition to his club-level experience, Kobi-Mensah has been actively involved in youth football and talent development initiatives in Ghana, providing him with a solid grounding in technical and tactical training. His ability to work effectively under pressure in competitive league environments makes him a strong asset to head coach Akonnor, as the pair looks to transform Gor Mahia into a formidable force both locally and on the continent.
