GhanaPolls2024: Ursula denies sharing food to voters in Ablekuma West

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Ablekuma West Member of Parliament, has vehemently refuted claims that her team is giving out food to voters in the current 2024 election.

According to earlier reports, during the hooting of certain voters at the Assemblies of God Church polling station in the Ablekuma West Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, breakfast packs purportedly belonging to the MP were pushed away.

The MP, however, characterized the accusations as careless and baseless in a news release.

The MP explicitly declared that there had been no such occurrence and added that the allegation was a fabrication meant to deceive the public and harm her image.

“This is a malicious attempt to sow discord and undermine the unity and trust I have worked tirelessly to build with my constituents,” the statement read in part.

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful reiterated her commitment to serving her constituents with integrity and stated that logistical support provided on election day was well-received.

“To my constituents, I assure you that I remain committed to serving you with dedication and humility. Let us not be distracted by these unfounded distractions, and be guided by facts and mutual respect.”

“My commitment to the people of Ablekuma West is unwavering. Over the years, I have served this constituency with integrity and a deep respect for its people, prioritizing their welfare above all else. My team is focused on ensuring a smooth and peaceful electoral process, and any logistical support provided was well-received by all involved.”
