The Supporters Chairman of Basake Holy Stars, Emmanuel Kwofie Donzy, has confirmed that the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) has begun preliminary work at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park in Aiyinasi. This is part of efforts to improve the facility ahead of the club’s participation in the Premier League.
The initiative marks the beginning of a broader renovation project for the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park. The gesture has been warmly welcomed by the club and its supporters as a symbol of renewed hope and growing community support.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, August 17, Chairman Donzy emphasized the commitment of Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and current Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, who is also the acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology. He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting the club and announced plans to engage the CEO of Ghana Gas, Madam Judith Adjobah Blay, to facilitate additional development work on the edifice. The collaboration is aimed at upgrading the facility to meet the standards required for top-tier football.
Meanwhile, Nana Bonya Kofi V, Chief of Basake, has shown a strong interest in the club’s development and long-term prospects. He has already held strategic discussions with Mr. Simon Ehomah, CEO of Basake Holy Stars, to align on a new vision for the club and its infrastructure.
These joint efforts from traditional leadership, political figures, and corporate stakeholders signal a unified and strategic push to uplift Basake Holy Stars and enhance its facilities ahead of a crucial second half of the season.
