Former Karela United FC Safety Officer Zacheus Boafo Nda, popularly known as Sulley Laprocal, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ellembelle Constituency Organiser.
Boafo Nda, who is well known within Ghana’s football fraternity for his years of service at Karela United, is seeking to bring his wealth of organisational and leadership experience to the political front as the NDC prepares for its internal constituency elections.
During his time with the Ghana Premier League side, Boafo Nda played a key role in overseeing the club’s safety and security operations, ensuring compliance with matchday protocols and contributing to the successful organisation of home fixtures during the club’s stay in Aiyinasi.
His decision to vie for the constituency organiser position marks a transition from football administration to active politics, with the Ellembelle native pledging to strengthen the grassroots structures of the party through effective mobilisation, unity and improved engagement with members.
His candidacy is expected to attract interest from both the political and sporting communities, where he remains a familiar figure following his stint with Karela United.
The NDC is expected to hold its internal elections in the coming months as the party restructures its constituency executives across the country.
