Former Chief of Staff to head Mahama’s transition team

In compliance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845), Ghana’s president-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has constituted a group of seasoned professionals to oversee the transition process.

In order to guarantee a seamless and orderly transfer of political power, the 2024 Transition Team will closely coordinate with members of the departing government.

The appointed members contribute knowledge from a range of fields, such as public administration, finance, and governance.

The following important individuals will be on the team, which will be headed by Co-Chairperson Hon. Julius Debrah:

  1. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia
  2. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey
  3. Dr. Callistus Mahama (Member/Secretary)
  4. Dr. Valerie Sawyer
  5. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi
  6. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson
  7. Hon. Mahama Ayariga
  8. Hon. Goosie Tanoh
  9. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah

Additionally, the President-elect has nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council.
