The people of Ankobra in the Ellembelle district of the Western Region are living in fear due to the overflow of the Ankobra River and the sea to the whole township.
This terrible scene happened between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm yesterday, Sunday, April 7. River Ankobra and the sea overflew their banks flooding almost the entire Ankobra community. People have to run for their lives. Valuable items and properties were washed away.
“We are leaving in fear and panic because coming days, we suspect similar or unbearable situations could happen to us”. Said by the Assembly member, Mr. Patrick Assuah.
They are therefore appealing to the government, Member of Parliament for the constituency, and the DCE as a matter of urgency to come to their aid.
