The fixtures for the 2026 Osagyefo Memorial Cup have officially been released, with Eikwe set to host the prestigious one-day grassroots football tournament on Friday, July 3, 2026 in honour of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
The competition, which is fully funded by the CC Blay Foundation, will bring together six teams from Ellembelle area for a day of exciting football aimed at promoting youth development, sportsmanship and community unity.
Hosts Eikwe FC will open the tournament against fast rising club Ellembelle City at 8:00am, before Baku FC face Christian FC at 9:00am. The home side will return to action at 10:00am to take on Menzenzor United as they seek to maximise home advantage.
The standout fixture of the group stage is undoubtedly the 11:00am clash between Anokyi United FC and Baku FC. The rivalry between the two communities has become one of the most compelling in Nzema football, with previous encounters producing fierce competition, passionate support and memorable moments. Friday’s meeting is expected to add another exciting chapter as both sides battle for local bragging rights and a place in the knockout stage.
Group-stage action continues with Ellembelle City taking on Menzenzor United at 12:00pm, before Christian FC lock horns with Anokyi United FC at 1:00pm.
The top teams will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for 2:00pm and 3:00pm, with the winners progressing to the grand final at 4:00pm to compete for the coveted 2026 Osagyefo Memorial Cup trophy.
With Eikwe FC hosting the tournament and the CC Blay Foundation providing full financial support, organisers are optimistic that this year’s edition will once again showcase the immense football talent within the Nzema area while celebrating the enduring legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
