FC Samartex 1996 General Manager, Mr. Edmund Ackah has named Kpando Heart of Lions as the club’s toughest adversary faced in the just ended 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Mr. Ackah openly admitted that Heart of Lions were their dogged rivals throughout the Ghana Premier League season. Speaking with sincerity and respect, he acknowledged the quality of the side led by veteran trainer, Coach Bashiru Hayford, noting how their tactical discipline and fighting spirit stood out across all 34 matches they played.
Mr. Ackah emphasized that no team pushed Samartex to their limits like the Kpando-based outfits did, describing their encounters as intense and highly competitive.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season came to a close on Sunday after a full 34-game run, and Heart of Lions proved their worth among the top sides, finishing 2nd with 60 points on the standings whiles FC Samartex 1996 was placed 7th in the league with 51 points.
Heart of Lions consistency, drive, and organized play earned them admiration across the board, including their fiercest rivals.
