The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi after rushing to the hospital face defeat in his bid to secure the NPP Parliamentary Candidacy in the Ejisu Constituency.
The internal election organized by the ruling party, NPP aimed to select a candidate for the upcoming election following the passing of the constituency’s Member of Parliament, Lawyer John A. Kumah.
In a tight competition, Lawyer Kwabena Boateng emerged the winner with 393 votes outshining his contenders.
Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi secured only 35 votes out 1035 delegates who showed up for the bye-election.
