Christian Academy FC were crowned champions of the maiden edition of the Osagyefo Memorial Cup after a commanding 2-0 victory over hosts Eikwe FC in the final on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Eikwe Astroturf.
The newly crowned champions booked their place in the final by overcoming Ellembelle City FC in a fiercely contested semi-final. After the two sides failed to be separated in regulation time, Christian Academy FC held their composure to prevail in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Hosts Eikwe FC secured the other ticket to the final with a narrow 1-0 victory over rivals Anokyi United FC, setting up an exciting showdown before their home supporters.
Christian Academy FC, however, proved too strong in the championship match, producing a disciplined and clinical performance to defeat Eikwe FC 2-0 and become the first-ever winners of the Osagyefo Memorial Cup.
The maiden edition of the Osagyefo Memorial Cup 2026 brought together six ambitious clubs, Christian Academy FC, Eikwe FC, Ellembelle City FC, Anokyi United FC, Menzenzor United FC, and Baku FC, in a celebration of grassroots football, youth development, and emerging talent.
Founded by Dr. Clement Clinton Blay through the C.C. Blay Foundation, the tournament was established to promote grassroots football, discover emerging talents, and strengthen community engagement through the beautiful game.

Christian Academy FC’s triumph reflected their resilience, consistency, and tactical discipline throughout the competition. Having survived a stern semi-final examination, they produced a polished display in the final to deservedly lift the inaugural title.
The successful staging of the maiden Osagyefo Memorial Cup further underscores the tournament’s growing significance as a platform for identifying and nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
