In a gesture aimed at promoting community development and youth empowerment, distinguished entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. Clement Clinton Blay through his C.C Blay Foundation has donated two sets of jerseys and footballs to Esiama community in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region ahead of the annual Kundum Festival.
The donation, made on Tuesday, October 15, 2025, forms part of Dr. Blay’s ongoing efforts to support sports and social cohesion among the youth. Speaking during the presentation, the Leader of the Foundation, Charles Kojo Article emphasized the importance of nurturing young talents and fostering unity through community-based sporting activities.
The Kundum Festival is not only a cultural celebration but also a platform to strengthen our communal spirit. By supporting local sports, we encourage teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth,” he ended.
The Chief of Esiama, Nana Ainoo Kwagyan III expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Blay for his continuous support, noting that the sporting equipment would enhance participation in the upcoming festival football matches and other recreational activities.
The Kundum Festival, is celebrated annually by the people of Nzema area, it symbolizes thanksgiving for a successful harvest season and serves as a period of reflection, renewal, and unity among the people.
