Months after the announcement of the destoolment of Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III, Omanhene of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council for his alleged gross misconduct and incompetence on Friday, July 122024, reports indicate that he had still not vacated the place as tradition demands.
It is expected that he ( Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III ) vacate the palace and hand over to Awulae Blay IX; the newly enstooled paramount chief of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council.
After several months of back and forth to see him leave the palace, residents of the Atuabo community who were keen to welcome their new paramount chief in the palace have worked to evacuate Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III from the Atuabo palace to pave the way for Awulae Blay IX.
Reports indicate that after Obaahema Avo Nyimah III together with the council and the entire royal family made an official announcement of the destoolment of Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III, he had been playing delayed tactics to evacuate the palace for the new Paramount Chief
It is as a result of this that the Ntweafo family, council and the entire Royal family with residents of Atuabo teamed up to strongly eject him from the palace.
Security task forces were present to ensure that lives and properties were protected during that important event.

According to Obaahema Avo Nyimah III, the royal family and the entire council are fed up with the continuous negligence and show of incompetence by her brother (Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III) which has lowered the true spirit of the council.
She asserted that Awulae Amihere III was dragged to court where he has been restrained from carrying himself as the Omanhene of Eastern Nzema Traditional Council as far back as May 14, 2024, and would want to make it clear to the general public to desist from transacting any official business with him henceforth.

He was also accused of allegedly dishonestly taking statutory quarterly grants or allowances on behalf of the Paramount Queen Mother from the Western Region House of Chiefs without her authorization whatsoever and dishonestly refusing to inform her or pay the same to her.

“We are very disappointed and ashamed to install him (Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III) as our leader and due to his ineptitude and greed for material wealth instead of the wellbeing of his followers for the close to fifteen years, we, the family which I the Obaheema Avo Nyimah belongs to have from today henceforth announced his destoolment as the Paramount Chief of Eastern Nzema Traditional Council”.
