Black Stars land in Morocco ahead of Madagascar clash

The Black Stars are currently in Morocco in advance of Monday, March 24, 2025, when they face Madagascar in their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying match. After their resounding 5-0 victory over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, the team left on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Ahead of the pivotal game against Madagascar, Ghana’s confidence has increased following their resounding victory against Chad. With a dominant performance, the Black Stars took the lead through Antoine Semenyo in less than ninety seconds. Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, and Ernest Nuamah all scored goals to seal the victory and highlight the team’s offensive strength.

A victory against Madagascar on Monday would improve the Black Stars’ standing and put them one step closer to earning a ticket at the 2026 World Cup. They presently lead Group I with 12 points. Ghana’s qualification campaign has been outstanding thus far, as the squad has won back-to-back games over Mali and the Central African Republic after losing to Comoros.

The Black Stars’ game against Madagascar is anticipated to be more difficult because of the short recovery period and travel required. However, Otto Addo’s team will be hoping for another impressive showing now that they have momentum.

In order to stay at the top of the group, the team will have to build on their impressive performance against Chad.

The Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco will host the Black Stars’ upcoming game against Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025. Due to Madagascar’s national stadium’s disapproved condition, the game was moved from Antananarivo. Ghana will get one step closer to guaranteeing their place at the 2026 World Cup with a victory.
