Black Stars’ 5-0 win made dinner better, but stay focused! – Prez. Mahama

Following the Black Stars’ resounding 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, President John Dramani Mahama praised the team’s performance but warned against complacency.

President Mahama shared his joy on social media following the game, joking that the thrilling victory had given him a “good appetite for dinner.”

“Congrats guys! Let this victory not make us complacent. This should be the beginning of bringing back the LOVE,” he wrote, calling for sustained momentum as the team prepares for its next fixture.

The President stressed the importance of consistency in Ghana’s World Cup campaign and advised the Black Stars to be focused ahead of their next match against Madagascar, when their chances of qualifying are still in jeopardy.

After losing out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Ghanaians are anxious to see their national team return to the international scene, and his statement reflects their growing excitement.

The Black Stars will now turn their attention to their pivotal matchup with Madagascar in an attempt to build on their impressive showing and bolster their bid for a 2026 World Cup qualification.
