Black Queens Demolish Mauritius 7-0 in Olympic Qualifier as Mukarama Abdulai Grabs Brace

Ghana’s Black Queens delivered a scintillating performance on Tuesday afternoon, thrashing Mauritius’ Lady Dodos 7-0 at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi to complete a commanding 10-0 aggregate triumph in their Women’s Olympic qualifying tie.

Having secured a 3-0 victory in the first leg in Mauritius, the Black Queens consolidated their advantage with another emphatic display on home soil, underlining their superiority over their Mauritian counterparts in the quest for qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Evelyn Badu, Portia Boakye and Ajegipina Zakaria were among the goalscorers as Ghana asserted their authority, overwhelming the visitors with relentless attacking pressure.

Second-half substitute Mukarama Abdulai emerged as one of the standout performers, replacing Priscilla Adubea before producing a clinical contribution in front of goal.

The forward struck twice, scoring Ghana’s fourth and seventh goals of the encounter to complete her brace and further compound Mauritius’ misery.

Jennifer Cudjoe also converted from the penalty spot, while Nancy Amoh added her name to the scoresheet as the Black Queens registered seven unanswered goals in Sekondi.

The 7-0 victory, combined with their 3-0 first-leg success, handed Ghana a comprehensive 10-0 aggregate victory, reinforcing their credentials as they pursue a place at the women’s football tournament of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The Black Queens will now look to maintain their impressive form as their Olympic qualifying campaign progresses.
