In response to the MP for North Tongu’s accusations of illegal land acquisition, Kwame Blay, the son of Freddie Blay, the former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has threatened to take legal action against Ablakwa.

The Blay family is accused of making a “illegal” attempt to purchase prime land in Accra from the state-owned Labadi Beach Hotel, according to Ablakwa’s charges.

A contentious discussion has resulted from this, with Freddie Blay threatening legal action and seeking an apology from Ablakwa, reporter Johnnie Hughes, and Media General management.

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Kwame Blay noted the negative impact Ablakwa’s charges have had on his family and expressed amazement at Ablakwa’s claims.

“It is absurd that a smart man such as Ablakwa himself would come and spout such complete nonsense. You shouldn’t be dragging our good name,” he said.

He will receive strong and varied messages from our lawyers by the middle of the following week. Remember, sir, that he has named three people, therefore he needs to use extreme caution,” Kwame Blay issued a warning.

Amidst all of this, Ablakwa has remained unalterable, pushing Freddie Blay to take legal action and even hinting that he might release further details regarding the purported state capture.
