A group of NDC grassroots members in Nzema has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to reward Dr. Clement Clinton Blay with an appointment, citing his exceptional qualities and dedication to the party.
They specifically requested that Dr. Blay will be appointed as the CEO of Ghana Gas Company, emphasising his impressive working experience and academic credentials, making him an ideal candidate.
The members, led by Kwame Richmond, emphasized that Ghana Gas requires a competent and hardworking youth, believing that Dr. C.C. Blay would implement significant reforms and major initiatives to transform the national asset if appointed.
Dr. Clement Clinton Blay, who is a native of Nzema where Ghana Gas company is located, possesses over 10 years of extensive experience in the mining industry, with expertise in occupational health and safety standards, management, and finance.
Additionally, Dr. Blay has conducted public health assessments and ensured safety protocols, leading as a frontline staff member during the fight against COVID-19.
According to Mr. Kwame Richmond, Dr. Blay’s experiences have equipped him with the ability to effectively manage hazardous environments and mitigate the potential health effects associated with gas exploitation.
Members of the Group reveal that Dr. Clement Clinton Blay withdrew from the NDC parliamentary primaries in Ellembelle constituency to allow the elected MP, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Boah, to go unopposed, following President Mahama’s advice to step down.
They reminded President Mahama to fulfil his promise to Dr. Blay, which included a significant appointment if he were to be elected president.
The grassroots members addressing the media in Nzema of the Western Region described Dr. Blay as a true grassroots person, youthful, and loyalist to the NDC.
They touted that Dr. Clement Clinton Blay has garnered an impressive array of academic credentials.
Mr. Kwame Richmond told journalists that Dr. Blay holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from KNUST, as well as an Executive MBA in Finance and General Management from Guglielmo Marconi University in Italy.
Dr. Blay also possesses an MSc in Health Services Administration from Uninettuno University in Italy and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London in the UK.
Mr. Richmond emphasized Dr. Blay graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from the James Lind Institute in Switzerland.
According to the group, it’s worth noting that Dr. Clement Clinton Blay has a strong background in public health and leadership and the Executive Director of the Shaip Africa Foundation.
Furthermore, Dr. Blay has obtained certificates in Project Management and Policy Development and Advocacy from the University of Washington in the USA.
As a licensed pharmacist, he holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He also possesses a certificate in Commercial Law, Constitutional Law, and General Legal Studies from Mount Crest University College in Ghana.
