Politics is all about money and nothing else, Nana Ohene Ntow, a senior policy advisor to Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has disclosed this, as the mindset of a member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ohene Ntow has indicated that certain elements within the NPP have questioned his loyalty for Alan Kyerematen, saying the former Trade and Industry Minister has nothing, –in terms of money– to offer him.
According to him, when he questioned one of them if politics was all about money, the person responded in the affirmative.
During an interview with Captain Smart on Onua TV, he explained that his decisions in life are borne out of conviction other than any other thing, the reason he once joined the NPP and is now with Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change.
The comments came on the back of assertions that he and some other key members who resigned from the NPP were going to return to the party.
But according to him, he is moved by conviction and nothing was going to make him nor Alan return to the party which he once served as General Secretary.
“I don’t know what will make me rejoin the NPP yet. They are saying we are coming back, I Ohene Ntow is saying that Alan Kyerematen has not made up his mind to return to the NPP, you can go and ask him he will tell you, Alan is not going back to NPP, period! They should get it. He wants to serve the nation and if God and Ghanaians approve it, he will come and if he doesn’t, and so what?
“People say I’m pained but I don’t work with pain. I work with conviction. If not for conviction, I would not be an NPP and I wouldn’t be following Alan Kyerematen. Some NPP folks have been telling me that Alan has no money to dish out to me… and I ask someone if the politics is all about money and he asked me, ‘if it is not money then what is it about?’ and I was very disappointed,” he revealed on Maakye Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
