Ghanaian forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah continued his fine run of form by getting on the scoresheet as Mukura Victory Sports FC secured an emphatic 3-1 victory over Al-Hilal Omdurman in Matchday 20 of the Rwanda Premier League.
Mukura Victory made an assertive start to the contest, breaking the deadlock through Mutsinzi Patrick, whose opener handed the hosts early control of proceedings. Buoyed by the advantage, the Rwandan outfit dictated the tempo and pressed forward with intent.
Agyenim Boateng Mensah, previously of Nzema Kotoko FC and Dreams FC, extended the lead in the 32nd minute with a well-taken finish, highlighting his sharpness in front of goal and reinforcing his growing importance to the side’s attacking ambitions.
Al-Hilal Omdurman responded after the interval, and their efforts were rewarded in the 66th minute when Steven Ebuela reduced the deficit, offering the visitors a glimmer of hope.
Yet, Mukura Victory quickly regained firm command of the encounter when Altayeb Abdalrazig inadvertently scored an own goal, effectively putting the result beyond doubt and securing a deserved 3-1 win for the home side.
