Chippa United have officially confirmed the departure of Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley “Bobo” Nwabali, with the club and player reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper exits the South African Betway Premiership outfit after making 11 appearances and registering three clean sheets in the current campaign. Nwabali showcased composure, experience, and reliability for the Chilli Boys.

In a club update, Chippa United announced that the separation was finalized by mutual consent, bringing an end to Nwabali’s journey with the Eastern Cape-based side.

Nwabali joined Chippa United during the 2022/23 season from Katsina United in the Nigeria Professional Football League. Over the course of his stay, he grew into a respected figure within the squad, earning plaudits for his work ethic and commanding presence between the posts.
