“Aduana FC Poised for Premier League Title Charge-Coach Aristica Cioaba Declares”

Aduana Football Club head coach, Aristica Cioaba, has reaffirmed the club’s growing ambition to contest strongly for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title, following their spirited 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko SC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium over the weekend.

The Ogya Boys took an early lead through Emmanuel Marfo, whose composed finish silenced the home crowd momentarily. Kotoko, however, restored parity before halftime courtesy of Lord Amoah, setting up a fiercely contested second half that ultimately ended in a stalemate.

Despite suffering two defeats in the current campaign, Aduana FC sit 3rd on the league table with 21 points, just three points behind leaders Medeama SC. Their steady rise, with two draws from 11 league matches, positions the two-time champions as credible contenders for this season’s ultimate prize.

Speaking to the press after the game, Coach Cioaba expressed delight in the steady progression of his squad, emphasizing trust, cohesion, and consistency as the pillars of their title pursuit.

“I’m happy about this new group at Aduana. Gradually, gradually we will rise,” he noted.
“It is important that the players trust each other, work every week, and continue improving. With that, I am very confident we will be fighting for the top spot.”

Aduana FC last lifted the Ghana Premier League trophy in 2017, marking eight seasons since their previous triumph. With renewed belief and a strengthened squad, the Dormaa-based giants appear ready to mount a serious challenge once again.
