Global sportswear giant Adidas has announced a new partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA), as their kit supplier for all its national teams from next year, with the men’s side gearing up to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Under the three-year deal, Adidas becomes the official technical sponsor for SAFA’s national teams, including the men’s Bafana Bafana, women’s Banyana Banyana, and youth teams, with the iconic three stripes set to feature on their kits from March 24, 2026.
The deal marks a major milestone for South African football, as the national team prepares for one of the biggest tournaments in global sport. Adidas will provide the team with newly designed home and away kits, training gear, and travel apparel, combining advanced technology with a modern design inspired by South Africa’s rich cultural heritage.
Officials from the South African Football Association (SAFA) expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that the partnership aligns with the team’s ambition to make a strong impression on the world stage.
“We are delighted to welcome Adidas as our official technical partner,” said a SAFA spokesperson. “Their reputation for excellence and innovation perfectly matches our vision for football development and performance.”
Adidas, which already partners with several leading national teams globally, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting African football and enhancing performance through world-class gear.
The newly designed kits are expected to be unveiled early in March 2026.
