The Chairman of the Atuabo Development Club (ADC), Francis Kwame Erwuah, has lauded Dr. Clement Clinton Blay, Chief Executive Officer of the C.C. Blay Foundation, for his timely intervention in support of the club’s Back-to-School Supply Drive 2026.
The initiative, held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Atuabo Astroturf, sought to provide essential educational resources to pupils and ease some of the financial burden associated with preparing children for the new academic year.
Four schools within the Atuabo enclave, Atuabo Methodist School, West Coast Academy, Royal Preparatory School and Asemnda Suazo Methodist School, benefited from the initiative.
Speaking on the contribution from Dr. C.C. Blay, Chairman Erwuah expressed profound appreciation for the philanthropic gesture, noting that the intervention had provided valuable support to the ADC’s efforts to promote educational development within the community.
The Chairman acknowledged that he had not personally known Dr. C.C Blay prior to the intervention but said the gesture had nevertheless left a lasting impression on him.
“A huge thanks to you for this gesture. I personally don’t know you, but I am grateful to you. We will always remember you in our prayers. May God continually enrich you so that you can continue supporting Nzema land,” he said.
The support from the C.C. Blay Foundation contributed to the provision of a broad range of educational and school-related materials for the beneficiary pupils.
The items included school uniforms, exercise books, jerseys, erasers, rulers, school bags, pens, pencils and mathematical sets, providing pupils with essential resources to facilitate their participation in academic activities.
Chairman Erwuah commended Dr. Clement Clinton Blay for responding to the initiative and contributing to an intervention centred on the educational welfare of children.
He further noted that philanthropic contributions of this nature can complement the efforts of community organisations and other development-oriented institutions in addressing educational needs at the grassroots.
The ADC Chairman also expressed the hope that the gesture would encourage sustained collaboration between philanthropists and community-based organisations in advancing education and other developmental priorities across Nzema land.
The Back-to-School Supply Drive 2026 therefore served as a platform for community leadership and philanthropy to converge around a shared objective of equipping pupils with the resources required to commence the academic year with greater preparedness.
The initiative further demonstrates the potential of community-driven partnerships to translate goodwill into tangible interventions that directly benefit young people and contribute to broader educational development.
