The government’s efforts to guarantee reliable and reasonably priced power for all Ghanaians have received reaffirmation of the Independent Power Generators’ (IPGG) unflinching support.
Therefore, it looks forward to working closely with Energy Minister John Jinapor to accomplish common objectives, such as promoting renewable energy, generating sustainable energy, and resolving unresolved financial and policy issues impacting the industry.
The position of the Energy Minister is crucial, particularly at a time when the country is looking to improve distribution efficiency and lower energy sector debt, according to a statement signed by its CEO, Elikplim Apetorgbor.
“We believe that Mr. Jinapor’s pragmatic approach and expertise will contribute significantly to the creation of a resilient and reliable energy ecosystem for Ghana”, it added.
It went on to say that throughout the screening process, Mr. Jinapor’s vast knowledge of Ghana’s energy industry and dedication to promoting efficiency, sustainability, and innovation were clear.
“As a critical stakeholder in the energy industry, we are confident his leadership will bring a renewed focus and drive toward addressing the challenges confronting the power sector”, it added.
The IPGG congratulated John Abdulai Jinapor and pledged its commitment to supporting his vision for Ghana’s energy future.
