NPP pre-printed 5 million T-shirts with the ‘number 8’ – Captain Smart

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) allegedly printed 5 million T-shirts with the number “8” prominently displayed in the hopes of placing eighth on the presidential ballot. Captain Smart, the host of the well-liked Onua Maakye morning show, revealed this startling disclosure.

Captain Smart claims that the NPP ordered the preproduction of millions of campaign T-shirts with the number 8 because they were so sure they would win the eighth spot. Unfortunately for the party, its candidate selected the top spot in the official ballot draw held by the Electoral Commission (EC).

“The NPP thought they had the number 8 spot in the bag, and they went ahead to print 5 million T-shirts with the number 8 on them,” Captain Smart disclosed. “Now they are stuck with these T-shirts because they picked number 1, not 8.”

Captain Smart further alleged that the printing contract for the T-shirts was awarded to a lady who resides in Tema Community 24. He claimed to have personally traveled to Tema to verify the information and confirmed that the printing of the T-shirts was carried out in the area.

“The lady who won the contract to print these T-shirts lives in Tema Community 24, and I traveled there myself to see it,” Captain Smart said during his broadcast. “The party was so sure about getting the number 8 that they went ahead with the printing, only to end up with number 1.”

Captain Smart made these allegations live on Onua TV.
