Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a spokesman for the Bawumia campaign team, asserted that the NPP is the only political party that has inspired Ghanaians to cast ballots in this year’s election.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, has presented him with specific policy recommendations to address the issues affecting Ghanaians.
“NPP remains the only party that has given the people clear reasons to vote,” he stated in a statement on his Facebook page. Reasons depended on how the people resolved particular problems.
“The people clearly acknowledge the challenges in recent times but are confident the best hands to manage things going into the future remains Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”
Ahead of the general elections scheduled for December 7, Dr. Bawumia has made several promises.
For example, as part of the steps to mitigate the effects of tidal waves, he has committed to building a small harbour and a marine defence project for the Sege people.
Dr Bawumia said this when speaking to a gathering of chiefs, traditional leaders, and the people of Sege during his tour of the Greater Accra Region, on Wednesday, September 18.
“We need a mini-harbour. So we are going to work on bringing a mini harbour to Sege here for you and that is a very important thing. And then, of course, very important, we need to do the sea defence for this area.
“So I have a lot to do for you. If I come back in four years, I will have to give an account of what I have done with the sea defence,” he said.
In a subsequent post on his Facebook page, Dr Bawumia said “I am grateful to the chiefs and other stakeholders for the invaluable advice they offered on a more collaborative approach to national development.”
