Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party in 2024, has attested to the honesty of Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, spoke on Sunday at the party’s 2024 manifesto launch in Takoradi, Western Region, praising Dr. Bawumia as a leader devoid of corruption who will build on the accomplishments of the Akufo-Addo administration.
He gave the people of Ghana the assurance that Dr. Bawumia’s dedication to openness and responsibility will characterize his presidency.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh urged Ghanaians to have faith that their resources will be well used and their interests will be safeguarded.
“I am a strong believer in Dr. Bawumia. I have worked with him more than many people know. I believe in his ability and knowledge, and surely, he is the man of the moment. I am committed to serving him loyally to ensure his vision is translated into action. His vision is for a better, more prosperous Ghana. And I pledge to work even harder to support this vision.
“Dr. Bawumia is a man of vision. He is humble but firm, affable, loyal, honest, a problem solver, a very hard worker, a go-getter, and a man of integrity. He is destined to take Ghana to the next level. I know Dr. Alhaji Bawumia is not corrupt. His family life has never been accused of corruption, and his public life has never been tainted by corruption. He has never been investigated, and he will never be corrupted. You [Akufo-Addo] are handing over to an honourable man to continue the work.”
He emphasised Dr. Bawumia’s ability to solve problems and his steadfast commitment to the advancement of the country while pledging to assist him in advancing his vision for Ghana.
