The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League winners, FC Samartex 1996 have officially announced that the Accra Sports Stadium will be their home venue for their inaugural CAF Champions League preliminary campaign.
With this esteemed chance, the “Timber Giants” will exhibit their prowess on the continental stage to represent Ghana in Africa’s distinguished football contest.
Samartex 1996 will travel to play Victoria United FC at the Omnisport Stadium in Limbe on August 18, before hosting the Cameroonian outfits a week later in the second leg preliminary round at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner of match will advance to the second preliminary stage where they will likely battle out with Moroccan club Raja Club Athletic for a place in the group stages.
