The Ellembelle security service has arrested 10 persons for engaging in an unlawful enstoolment of chief and have been arranged for court proceedings at the Axim circuit court.
According to reports, they have been remanded into police custody for defying the public order act at Ellembelle.
The chairman of the District Security Committee (DISEC), Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh in his communication with Journalist asserted that, they will not sit and wat people to unlawfully engages in activities that will disturb the freedom of the people in Ellembelle.
“Ellembelle we are not ready for people to ‘unrightfully’ abuse power as far as we remain here as DISEC members. We shall execute our duties as mandated by the constitution as the representative for the President and due to that I have been given the mandate to steer the activities of DISEC to protect the peace and not to allow any individual to jeopardize our peace”. He said.
He further said that, the DISEC should be involved in this matter to ensure that the apprehended persons will be arranged for court on August 1, 2024.
