Awulae Blay IX is a descendants of the Royal Ndweafoɔ clan in Sanzule. Until his installation, he is a resident of Takoradi as an entrepreneur.
Known in private life as Flanton Aka Berenger, he succeeds his uncle, Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III who was the erstwhile Paramount Chief of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council.
He was outdoored in July 21, 2024 at Atuabo and was administered the oath of allegiance and responsibility to the Traditional Authorities of Ellembelle.
