The University of Ghana Medical Center has declared that its earliest six kidney procedures have been successfully accomplished.

The Center said in a news release on Sunday that it “has so far conducted six kidney transplant surgeries with utmost precision, care, and expertise,” all under the direction of a highly qualified and committed team of medical professionals from both domestic and foreign countries.

Dr. Emmanuel Asante, the head of urology at UGMC, claims that the operations went smoothly and demonstrated the Center’s proficiency in complicated surgeries and post-operative care.

“The successful completion of the first set of six kidney transplants underscores the Center’s commitment to pushing boundaries, achieving medical excellence, and improving the lives of patients through cutting-edge interventions and compassionate care,” said Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah, Chief Executive of UGMC.

He stated that “UGMC looks forward to continuing its mission of advancing healthcare standards and innovations practices in the field of transplantation.”
