Hat-trick hero, Jordan Ayew has expressed his commitment to the team’s success despite being played out of his favorite role.
Jordan Ayew grabbed his first hat-trick for the Black Stars after Ghana won 4-3 against Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifying game at the Baba Yara on Monday.
Speaking after the game, Jordan Ayew revealed his readiness to contribute to the team’s success in any role assigned to because of his qualities.
“I’ve been playing out of position for quite some time in the national team and also at the club level. But I have always done my duty, put my country first, and never complained because I always give my all.
According to the Crystal Palace forward, he admitted challenges and mentioned that, “It’s difficult. It’s not something that I like to talk about but obviously my favorite position right from Academy, France, in the national team has always been as a number 9. But I understand because I have qualities that allow me to play in the pockets of spaces, and I don’t complain.”
The 32-year old opened his account via spot kick in the 9th minute and added his second and third respectively in the 60th and 69th minute.
After the victory, Ghana moves summit of Group I with 9 points after 4 games, having won three and lost one game.
