Ghanaian midfield enforcer Majeed Ashimeru has secured a short term loan move to RAAL La Louvière, where he will stay until the end of the campaign as he targets consistent first-team football and a return to peak form.
The former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder is expected to undergo his medical on Friday, after which the deal will be fully ratified. As part of the agreement, RSC Anderlecht will continue to pay Ashimeru’s full wages, ensuring a smooth transition for the player and his new club.
Although he attracted concrete interest from clubs in Denmark, Turkey, and across Belgium, Ashimeru chose RAAL La Louvière, prioritising stability, familiar surroundings, and the benefit of remaining close to family, factors believed to be key to his on-field focus and resurgence.
At his new club, Ashimeru will team up with Ghanaian compatriot Jerry Afriyie who is currently on loan from Saudi Pro League side, Al Qadsiah FC, adding a strong national bond within the squad. Their presence is expected to bolster La Louvière’s midfield structure and attacking fluidity as the club pushes for a successful end to the season.
