Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko Anyars, has showered praise on goalkeeper Felix Kyei for his remarkable progression and growing influence in the team’s impressive start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Kyei, who has steadily evolved into one of the league’s standout shot-stoppers, delivered yet another commanding performance during Medeama’s fiercely contested Week 10 encounter against Eleven Wonders. His decisive penalty save proved to be the defining moment of the match, steering the Tarkwa side to a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
In his post-match remarks, Coach Tanko expressed immense satisfaction with the goalkeeper’s development, describing him as “a fantastic goalkeeper whose confidence and consistency will be monumental for the club this season.” He stressed that the former Karela United shootstopper’s form is not only uplifting the squad but also reinforcing the club’s belief in its title aspirations.
“He is fantastic. His performance keeps improving. I think to win a league or any cup, you need a good goalkeeper and we certainly have one in Felix Kyei. He was exceptional today,” Tanko added.
The crucial win over Eleven Wonders has now lifted Medeama SC to the summit of the GPL table with 21 points, a testament to their renewed hunger and competitive maturity under Tanko’s leadership.
Riding on their strong momentum, Medeama have already shifted focus to their upcoming Week 11 clash against Bechem United. With confidence surging and ambitions rising, they will be aiming to maintain its grip at the top and extend its impressive run in the title race.
