In an exclusive development, Ebusua Dwarfs FC have directed their head coach, Bright Lord Ellis, to step aside for the next three matches following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League season.
Sources close to the club indicate that the former Basake Holy Stars and Skyy FC tactician has requested a mutual termination of his contract, a proposal the club hierarchy is yet to approve.
The decision comes after Dwarfs endured a winless run in their opening three fixtures, drawing twice and losing once. The management, however, remains hopeful that a short-term change could help the team rediscover its form and stability.
Despite the tension between both parties, insiders say discussions are ongoing to find an amicable resolution. While the club insists on the coach stepping aside temporarily, Ellis is believed to be pushing for a complete mutual separation.
The “Mysterious Dwarfs,” one of Ghana’s most historic clubs, had set ambitious targets ahead of the season as they seek promotion back to the Ghana Premier League. However, the slow start and the current uncertainty in the technical department have left supporters anxious about the direction of the campaign.
Further updates are expected as both sides continue talks over the coach’s future.
