Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has hailed his side’s composure and teamwork after their solid 2-0 away victory over Berekum Chelsea in their Matchday 6 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Golden City Park.
The Phobians produced a disciplined and confident display to secure all three points on the road, with Hamza Issa and Mawuli Wayo both finding the back of the net.
After a closely contested first half, Hamza Issa broke the deadlock shortly after the restart, finishing off a well-worked move from the visitors. Mawuli Wayo then sealed the win late in the game with a calm and clinical effort, ensuring Hearts of Oak continued their steady rise under Coach Dramani.
The game took a dramatic turn when Berekum Chelsea goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi was shown a red card for handling the ball outside his area. Having already used all their substitutions, the home side was forced to deploy Michael Awuah Mensah as a makeshift goalkeeper for the remainder of the match. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Hearts of Oak maintained control and comfortably saw out the game to claim a well-deserved victory.
Speaking after the match, Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani commended his players for their attitude and work ethic but emphasized the need for continuous improvement.
“There is more room to improve; we have to be consistent and we have to remain sustainable. We still have lots to improve, but we are on the right path,” he said.
The victory is a major boost for Hearts of Oak as they continue to build momentum in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. With the team beginning to find its rhythm under Dramani’s tactical direction, the Phobians look poised to challenge strongly in the weeks ahead.
