Moses Author Returns to Basake Holy Stars Squad After Long Injury Layoff

Basake Holy Stars defender Moses Author has made a timely return to the team’s matchday squad ahead of their week 6 encounter against Swedru All Blacks in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

The experienced center-back has been out of action for several weeks due to a persistent injury but has now fully recovered and earned a place in coach Augustine Evans Adotey’s travelling squad for the crucial away fixture.

Author’s return is expected to provide much-needed stability and leadership at the back, as the Holy Stars look to bounce back to winning ways. His presence brings depth to the defensive setup and offers the coach more tactical flexibility.

Speaking ahead of the game, Coach Adotey expressed delight over Author’s return, describing it as “a big boost for the team.”

“Moses has worked hard to regain full fitness. His return gives us more balance defensively and experience in a tough fixture like this,” the coach noted.

Moses Author’s inclusion is seen as a morale booster for his teammates, who have shown strong team spirit despite recent injury setbacks.

Basake Holy Stars face Swedru All Blacks in what promises to be an exciting clash at the Swedru Sports Stadium as both teams seek to climb higher in the league standings.
