Basake Holy Stars Call For Support As Home Venue Crisis Deepens

The Supporters Liaison of Basake Holy Stars Football Club, Emmanuel Kwofie Donzy, has made a strong statement regarding the team’s uncertain home venue situation.

He revealed that “Basake Holy Stars may change our alternative venue to Samraboi Nsenkyire Arena” if the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena in Ampain, is not granted to the club.

With the new Ghana Premier League season scheduled to kick off on 12th September 2025, he stressed the urgency of securing a reliable home ground for the team.

Chairman Donzy expressed disappointment over the lack of response from major stakeholders operating within the Nzema area. He pointed out that “there are big companies on this land, Ghana Gas, Adamus BCM, Quantum, ENI, and even banks, but there have not been any real action from them” regarding the current park crisis facing Basake Holy Stars.

He emphasized that these companies benefit from the community and should see it as a responsibility to help uplift local football, particularly when the club is representing Nzema on the national stage.

The Supporters Chairman passionately appealed to all stakeholders, especially corporate entities and local authorities, to rally behind the team in this critical moment. “We are calling on these companies to come to the aid of Basake Holy Stars,” he urged. “This team belongs to the Nzemas, and whenever we play home matches, it boosts the local economy.” His remarks echoed a growing call from the community for unity and support to ensure that Basake Holy Stars has a proper home ground to compete in the upcoming season.
